The Sheboygan County Warming Center puts donated dollars and items to work and maximizes the impact for the benefit of people across the county.
The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count shows a clear increase in homelessness in our community:
This represents a 68% increase in identified homelessness in just two years, reflecting growing housing instability across the county.
The Warming Center continues to respond to this growing need by providing seasonal, low-barrier access to shelter and support:
These numbers reflect not just short-term crisis response, but ongoing care for individuals facing long-term housing instability.
The Community Cafe continues to serve as one of the largest consistent access points for food and connection in the county:
This represents thousands of moments where individuals and families were met with food, dignity, and consistent community support.
Helps provide hygiene supplies, coffee, and daily essentials for guests
Supports seasonal gear for both winter and summer conditions, along with assistance obtaining vital documents like identification cards and birth certificates
Helps support one night of shelter operations, staffing, and guest services
